According to a statement released on late night Saturday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Nigeria recorded 239 new coronavirus cases in the time between Friday-Saturday, after recording nearly 400 new cases in the previous day alone. As has long been the case, most of the recorded cases came from Lagos, Nigeria's most populous city. The likes of Bauchi, Kano, Katsina, and Borno follow suit by having the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th most recorded new cases respectively.

Altogether, Nigeria has now recorded more than 4,100 confirmed coronavirus cases. Out of that number, 745 have been discharged and 128 have died. Lagos has recorded the highest number of cases out of all states in Nigeria.
