Kamala Harris And Mike Pence Set For Debate On October 7

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and recently announced democratic Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris are set for a formal debate at the University of Utah on the 7th of October. The debate announcement comes on the heels of Mike Pence attending a Arizona campaign event where to took quite a jab at the opposing party. "As you all know, Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have been overtaken by the radical left," he said. "So given their promises of higher taxes, open borders, socialized medicine, and abortion on demand, it's no surprise that he chose Senator Harris."

"I don't know if you all heard the news, but on the way here I heard Joe Biden just named his running mate — California Senator Kamala Harris," Pence said as a crowd booed in response. "So let me take this opportunity to welcome her to the race."

Kamala Harris was recently announced as the Vice Presidential candidate to team up with Joe Biden against a Donald Trump-Mike Pence election. This makes her the third ever woman to serve as vice presidential candidate for a major political party. Before her appointment, Biden was reported to have considered other candidates including Senator Tammy Duckworth of Illinois and Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts for the VP role.
