Robinhood, the popular stock trading app, has once again raised new funding, this time a $200 million cash infusion from D1 Capital Partners, a New York-based hedge fund that's primarily focused on the technology sector. The investment is said to value Robinhood at $11.2 billion, up from $8.6 billion when the company raised funding just in July.

With the new funding, Robinhood has now raised a total of $1.7 billion in known funding since its inception. The San Francisco-based company scored $180 million in revenue in the second quarter of this year.
