Taylor Swift: Trump "Dismantling" USPS To Hold On To Power

American singer Taylor Swift has thrown shade at U.S. President Donald Trump, asserting that he's engaging in "calculated dismantling" of the United States Postal Service (USPS) in order to hold on to power. The USPS comes into concern here as the usual handler of mail-in votes for U.S. elections. The postal service recently warned 46 out of 50 U.S. states that it may not be able to deliver mail-in votes on time and to such problems, critics have particularly blamed the recently appointed Postmaster General Louis Dejoy, who is himself known to be a loyal Trump supporter and was appointed despite concerns of conflict-of-interest due to him and his wife declaring at least $30 million worth of holdings in USPS competitors or contractors. Dejoy is notably the first postmaster in two decades without prior experience in the USPS.

"Trump’s calculated dismantling of USPS proves one thing clearly: He is WELL AWARE that we do not want him as our president. He’s chosen to blatantly cheat and put millions of Americans’ lives at risk in an effort to hold on to power." Taylor Swift stated in a tweet. "Donald Trump’s ineffective leadership gravely worsened the crisis that we are in and he is now taking advantage of it to subvert and destroy our right to vote and vote safely." In that same thread of tweets, she encouraged U.S. voters to take to the ballots early.

Going by previous statements, Taylor Swift is apparently in support of the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris team for the November elections.
