U.S. President Donald Trump has created a verified account on TikTok competitor Triller, notably after a spat with TikTok and its Chinese owner ByteDance Technologies. Trump is fresh off giving ByteDance a deadline of 90 days to formalize a sale or spin-off of its US business or risk a ban if it fails to do so. The ban originates from concerns of TikTok scooping up data on American users and turning them over to the Chinese government. The widely popular social media app has already been banned in India, marking the first major country to enact such a ban.

Trump's new verified Triller account currently sports just a little over 3,000 followers.
